Hi,

We just finished www.LeesLandscapes.com.  I want to know what you think.  I want to change the service pages / sections around but just want to get the opinion of others on what they would do.

That is a great looking site - good job.

Nice call to action in the header banner.  Easy to navigate.  Answers all the important questions.

I think you are showing off!

Here`s a couple of thoughts. I don`t know where East or West Metro is. :-D Could you put a tagline with the location, like "Your Minneapolis Landscaping Artists" or something? The contact info is so good, I was instantly drawn to exactly that. It took me a minute to get readjusted, then see the Minneapolis location later down in the page.

The green-to-black fade is nice, but in your main content area, I had a hard time reading the white on green text. With the font size being small, plus what looks like bold, plus being white, I just didn`t read the content.

Since you specified, I checked the services page. Really nicely done! The only "wish list" thing I`d offer would be clickable pics to show a 640x480 (whatever)  in a window for each of the current pictures you`re using. You do this in the Portfolio, and I`m thinking you`ll already have the larger images somewhere easy to get to.

The Portfolio is cumbersome, with having to click "back" to get to each thumbnail. That took me back to "Photos." Why not have only one tab?

Could you do one of those....what...Web 2.0 thingies where you bring a picture forward into its own window? Or could you just do a filmstrip with "previous and next" buttons?

Ah....I checked the below problem by viewing in IE 6. First, I was warned about setting a Registry change for QuickTime, which I denied. Then I saw your intent correctly. So I`m not sure where you`re drawing the line on FireFox versions. I`m using Windows 98SE, and just haven`t felt like taking the time to upgrade. But when I do, I`ll be limited to version 2.x, not 3.x

When I was in photo gallery and clicked "back," the tabs blew up and went to vertical, rather than across the page width. That`s `cause I`m using FireFox 1.x.

Overall, though, it`s a nice site. Looks to me as though conceptually the whole site is based on the Services. The main page starts the categories, which then carry throughout the rest of the site. I`m not sure if "Employment" should be where it`s at, maybe just to the left of "Contact?"

Otherwise, it sort of looks as if the company is in trouble, trying to find either jobs or employees. Just my opinion, and based on psychology rather than any hard information.

Very well done site.  Everyone else already said anything that I would criticize, but I`ll parrot Craig - the type is too small.

I had no problem with the pictures in Firefox v5.

Very nice job, Steve!  I would say overall the reading and content is very clean and I also like the call to actions.  Concise and to the point.  I like what pictures you have there, but I agree that you can update some of them.   Re: the testimonial page,

I would like some audio testimonials, because I love to hear other people`s voices talking about their experience.  There is a company called audiogenerator.com that easily allows other people to add sound to your testimonials as easy as recording a telephone message.

I would also suggest that you have an e-mail sign up box on the homepage so that people could sign up for a newsletter.  People always feel comfortable going back to the person who is able to give them answers, or some good ideas.  You can do that in a newsletter, and then you will start building a targe market.

It looks good! It's just about the social sharing buttons, I think it's more common for sites to  put them on the left or right side and keep them floating when you roll down. It may be a little bit hard for visitors to share your content if they need to get back to the top first.
