Hi, I along with my 2 friends/business partners/college teammates have launched www.yourtownspace.com - a social network for towns & town residents.  We did it with the intention of bringing all things your town together in one spot, from business reviews, to local favorites, town albums, town forums, and town ratings & reviews.

We would appreciate any feedback from all of the fellow members of startupnation, and would like to thank you in advance for any help and advice you can offer.

Thanks!

hello

Your site home page looks good but I couldn't able to check out much without registrering. I think that would be a big drawback. You need to show the consumer/user what you are offering and trying to convince them to sign up. If you are not allowing them to check out, that will surely turn down many users to sign up unless they have something to benefit from your site.

Many social networking like Yelp.com allows you to check out first and signup to contribute. You should do that too.

I agree ... if a potential new user can't preview what you actually offer, there is no incentive to even join. I wouldn't, anyway.
