Just curious, by a show of hands, who here is noticing that they have to do a lot of waiting in their new startup? It seems like when everybody else is talking about how there aren`t enough hours in the day, I`m always waiting for freight, or documents, or clients, or lawyers, or distributors....

Does this sound normal to you guys?

Yah, lots of waiting goin` on. However; we also have about a zillion things we`re trying to prepare, develop, organize, and structure, so the waiting helps.

Think digitally. Learn to multi-frequence. In your case multi-task. Learn to do other things rather than being a linear guy. By the way, are under the age of 30? If so, this should come natural to you. It`s those of us in the older generation that need to learn how to multi-task. I know people running 7 businesses at one time. Can you imagine?

Y`know, it`s funny (speaking of older generations). I remember the first time I tried LSD (acid, or hallucinogenics for those not of the Boomer era). :-D I had the "stunning insight of astounding brilliance" common to such trips. It was about how so much of our lives we spend waiting for things. We wait for deliveries, confirmations, daylight, night-time, vacations, days off, paychecks, food to be cooked, breaks, snacks, trains, planes, repairs to be completed....the list goes on and on.

Then I wondered how come? Why aren`t we doing stuff that doesn`t require so much waiting? Or, if we`re waiting that much, why aren`t we doing other stuff while we`re waiting?

It`s a drug thing.....

we are waiting all the time, but some how we stay busy.  It seems that as we wait we always come up with new marketing ideas or networking interests.

Or figuring out how to make the product better, faster to manufacture, or reducing errors in the process.
