Focus. You can have all the ambition, drive, and optimism in the world, but without proper focus, its all a conveluted series of dreams and activities that never come together.

Focus is what directs and organizes everything to a finite point that leads you to success.

It depends what you mean.  When you say "Business man" do you mean:

  -Entrepenuer

  -Manager

  -Salesperson

  -Moneyraiser

Etc etc etc... There are a whole lot of aspects to business.  if you`re looking for what makes a good "Jack of all trades" -type of person, and someone who would start a business (entrepeneur), then I would have to say persistance.  Too many of my friends have started businesses and quit (IMO) way too early.

I would have to say Passion.

Love what you do, let it consume you.

The short answer is that discipline is perhaps the most important underlying factor in a person`s professional level of achievement.

Michael Bucci says.

Discipline is to success what the subconscious mind is to the conscious mind. It works in the background, toiling quietly to make sure that the activities at the forefront take place in an orderly manner, Bucci says.

Huge CAHONES!!! Takes risks

I tend to be on the reserved side but I notice that people who are successful do know how and when to speak up for themselves. I am still trying to do that and it is  EXTREMELY difficult

Water is just hot water at 211 degrees F*.  At 212 degress F* steam is created which can move ships
---I picked this up over the years (quote from unknown)

A boy who can`t burn the ant in the driveway will adjust the focus of the magnifying glass and posess the power to create a conflagration

A good woman...

Assuming this is speaking of a marriage, I agree with the above as I am agreeing with all of these qutoes.  A good women would make it a priorety to know her man`s business.  Studies show that men whose wives know what their husbans do make 20% more than men whose wives don`t know what they do for a living.

95% of businesses fail in the first year and the 5% left fails within the next 5 years. I seen the samethings in my experience with my friends.

For a righteous man falls seven times, and rises again.

This goes along with my answer to the post`s question.

Without passion man is a mere latent force and possibility, like the flint which awaits the shock of the iron before it can give forth its spark.

Huge CAHONES!!! Takes risks

An entrepreneur tends to bite off a little more than he can chew hoping he`ll quickly learn how to chew it.
---Ash, Roy quotations

My answer I believe brings all the above into existance.  A dream must come first with the above being a biproduct.  I fully agree with the above quotes but in my opinion a clear and deep dream one can`t create goals in which to focus on.  Even the women will become fustrated being with a man who never defines his passion.  This is why feel that "onelove" pretty much hit the nail on the head.  I learned it this way...

Dream/Struggle/Victory
or
Wish/Want/Need/Got

--------------------------------------------------------

I have heard it said that the first ingredient of success -- the earliest spark in the dreaming youth -- if this; dream a great dream.
---Appleman, John A.

Before your dreams can come true, you have to have those dreams.
---Brothers, Dr. Joyce

You`ve got to create a dream. You`ve got to uphold the dream. If you can`t, go back to the factory or go back to the desk.
---Burdon, Eric

P.S. I did not in tend to offend anyone and I am sorry if I did by using your quote.  I believe people can understand that I used quotes because I agree with everything and I would have typed those answers anyways so why not quote people who I agree with?
