Does anybody have any experience with video podcasting.  If so, I am curious how much you invested into hardware/software and if you would be willing to share any "lessons learned".

no real world experiance but i`ve heard people on mac`s use the built in editing software and any digital 8 camera. As long as you camera will export the data via USB or Firewire i think you`ll be ok to start. The worst thing you can do is spend a ton of money on equipment and have a piss poor show. I recommend grabbing a sony handicam with output to digital and your favorite video editing software ( i love pinnacle studio and anything by adobe.).

Spend the time on content and making sure you produce a quality show and as you can look at upgrading your equipment / software.
