I don`t think it`s, .............. so much about what you personally,  have to post, unless it`s interesting and beneficial. And if you have great info, you are a star on twitter. There is a lot of info that you might find there, if you follow someone that provides that info.  I find it pretty interesting, and a great resource  to learn from.  But following just anyone will populate your page with  what they are doing every minute of their day! I want to learn more.  A few coffee breaks are fine, but not the real reason I entered into another social network world!

So. have you started twittering, and what do you think about it?

I recently started using Twitter as well.  I listened to a teleseminar on using Twitter last week and what I got out of it was exactly what Janie just said.  You have to give good information and don`t talk about yourself so much.  I follow some people who give good business info but I just "unfollowed" one person because I got tired of hearing about what movie they were going to see.

And this is just my personal opinion - you can twitter once or twice a day with something useful but folks that constantly post drive me crazy.

Yes, I followed some and stopped following them also. Some, ...that`s all they post about. Frankly, I`m not that interested in being followed or trying to think of what I could tweet about anymore.  What I am interested in, is following those that I can learn from.  That`s what I`ve learned so far.  It`s a great place for marketers, pr people, bloggers etc., that have something to share, and possibly that others can learn from.  I have read some great articles from following some key people.   Can you believe even Barack Obama has a twitter page?

I love twitter, it has been a great traffic driver for me...but I am one of those people who post frequently. I don`t post things that are trival, I post things that I think are important...and I make sure my bio describes my areas of interest, so people will know what to expect ahead of time. Posting any certain number of times per day defeats the purpose of twitter...it is about building relationships with the people you follow and that follow you. The number of times I tweet in a day is related to the number of conversations I have in a day. I follow about 1600 people and have about 1500 followers, so that can be a lot of conversation.

Keep using Twitter...the more you do, the more you will learn ways that will help you drive traffic to your sites...

I`ve been using twitter for about 2 months now. In the beginning I thought it was kind of pointless but through continued use I do see useful information posted on a daily basis. There are however a few that I have un-followed because of the constant pointless updates that would take up the entire page.

Hi Mahriyah, I saw your link but also looked for your twitter page.  If it`s your user name, I didn`t see anything really. Do you have a twitter link?
There is useful info if you follow those that have something to offer you, to learn from. You can also be a valuable resource if you  have something valuable to share.  A lot of amazing info there.  But don`t just follow to follow.  And posting to promote your biz is a no no,.... just join in with info, answers or questions.  It kind of works like a forum, but it is much different. People share  info, and of course chit chat along the way too, like we do here.  But, I`ve found the most important part about it, is to follow those that interest you in what they are tweeting about.  Otherwise you will hear about coffee, the dog, the hubby, the grocery store run etc, etc,  Not saying twitter between friends isn`t fine, but business tweets need to have something of value to be important, and interesting to others.  Or, why would you be tweeting or following, in Business....?   I will continue to see what it has to offer.  But Sun is where I like to visit most.  So, lets` stop being so quiet here!
