i have a line of jewelry (www.roadragejewelry.com) that will be launching shortly... i want to co-launch it in a few select boutique stores that i think will be more direct to my target market...as oppposed to just stores selling general merchandise..so my question is, how much of a discount should i offer these targeted boutiques just to get it in their stores? part and parcel of accepting my jewelry line, i was thinking of offering them cross-marketing on my website...

thanks for any advice... legsx3

Hi Legsx3,

The site below will take you to the Harvard Busines School pricing calculater.  It is a tool to calculate your markup when you sell to various types of companies.  Look at the tab marked "Tool."  If you don`t find your answer here, at least you will have a starting point.

Hi SUN,

This is my first post here.  I just happen to stumble upon your sight while looking for information on IntoStores.  I signed up over the weekend.  I did my research and thought it was worth a try.  I noticed the pending transaction on my account from them was going to FirstRep in CA.  I did a little more research only to find ojt they are one and the same.  FirstRep has an F rating with the bbb.  I couldn't stop the transaction because it was a debit.  I immediately sent an email to Kevin Sanderson asking what the connection was and to cancel the debit on my account.  I got an email back stating my transcation had already been cancelled because it did not hit a batch.  No explanation whatsoever and also no questions.  I found Sun because someone else from your site was inquiring about their credibility.  I too received an unsolicited email stating they wanted to carry my jewelry in their stores.  I am just so infuriated!  Starting my business has been a very difficult challenge on my own.  I will report them to the BBB.  I think they should definitely investigate.  I knew this would be difficult, but I really did not realize how many scams are out there to suck money out of people.  It's hard to know who to trust nowadays.  I started my business in February after I lost my job and y husband is also disabled.  I am really on the verge of shutting it down.  I feel isolated and need some help and hope I can get it here.  I would appreciate hearing from others that may have the same experience.  Thanks.
