Entrepreneurial Success is Where Bold & Aggressive Meets Preparedness

A week ago I posted a blog about an entrepreneur who appeared on the August 20 radio show, Emily Blumenthal, and how she was passionate in getting her product on QVC. I wrote, "You gotta’ be bold and sometimes you gotta’ be aggressive." Well, that’s not the entire message.

On this weekend’s radio show, a caller from Long Island, New York was extremely bold & aggressive ("ring the bell babe" is what he said at the beginning of his elevator pitch) but he wasn’t properly prepared. His elevator pitch received high marks from the Sloan brothers for passion but low marks for properly communicating the most important facts. You can listen for yourself and see what you think.

Yes, you gotta’ be bold and aggressive. But even that won’t bring you success if you’re not prepared. We invited John to fine-tune his pitch & come back on the radio in a few weeks. Let’s see what happens.
