Did the Sharks Attack? Taking Risks-Part 2

Thanks Rachel at Maui Dreams Diving! On Tuesday, I left off telling you about the sharks I encountered while scuba diving. Well, after a brief, “stare down” with the sharks, I headed towards the cave opening and left their home.

It was nerve-wracking, but it was truly the most exciting dive I’ve had so far.

Plus, I felt more confident. I mean after all, if you can scuba dive with sharks, pitching a new client or reporter is a piece of cake!

It just goes to show you that you can’t improve your skills and move past your fears if you are afraid to take risks.

Now, I’m not suggesting that you hang-glide thousands of feet above the ground or swim with sharks. But I do think it’s smart to go past your fear boundaries once in awhile and try new things.

How do you start?

Well, if you conduct the appropriate research and get the information you need prior to trying something new or making a big change, you’ll find that the ”risk factor” goes way down.

You’ll feel more confident. Plus, you’ll be more likely to succeed and learn more about yourself in the process. And in today’s tough economy, I’m sure you’ll be facing many of your own “sharks” soon.

Thanks for listening to my story. And if you have comments or need help with your PR and online copywriting, feel free to write to me below or at www.rembrandtwrites.com. I’d love to hear from you!
