OK...so, I have been doing my reseach and went to some workshops on starting a business and, business planning and financing. Which I found very helpful. After, speaking to other entrepreneurs I am now thinking maybe I will open an online store to for now and build that up. . . with a goal of opening a brick and mortor in the furture. Now, my reseach has taken me to the internet, some confusion there. I am not understanding if it would be more beneficial for me to look into opening at store with ebay or yahoo or on my own. I am wondering if anyone can clarify the pros and cons as well as any other information you would like to share to help me in my reseach.  TIA

I wish you luck, as in this economy we need more positive thinkers out there, and it looks as though you have a course of action!

Good Luck!

I have a brother who is setting up his own online storefront.  He has spent months working on it and it is still not up.  He had to learn how to set up a website first.  Now his big hang ups are setting up his shopping cart page and Paypal to work with the rest of his site.  He chose the do-it-yourself route because he wanted total control over his website and how it looks.

If you have the time this might be the way to go.  Otherwise, you might be better off with Ebay or a similar setup.

Hi there.

I think it really depends on the requirement of your store.

You can refer to this link:

I think the author gave really good advices on the topic.

Cheers
