economy  still not any good. Work is out there but is coming to a stop if the rich do not start hiring more people who cares if low paying long as it is some work i care but i need some money to be able spend on needs not wants in till something is done work just going to stop rich people stop holding on to your riches spread it round so you can make more wants thing are going we need to stop worrying if there gold to back up the money because not that the truth so what need to do is worry about taking of each other stop worrying if we are rich or not we need back to the bargaining system because there is no gold anyway all it is funny  money so what are we doing worrying about exchange rate all that let spend money make money it is just paper anyways. Jobs not there any more how we to spend money if we do not have jobs hay people what do you think is going to happen if there no money to spend. guess i like some more work i am getting some work but not enough to spend on anything more jobs going way at least to 2500 jobs going bye bye means probely 5000 more going bye bye because t hoes people out of work

Sounds like Trickle-down economics, to me. And we all know how THAT doesn`t work, right? We`ve been told for 30 years that it was a really dumb idea proposed by idiot conservatives.

Who knew?

I was wondering in our world were it became the job of those that saved, made a business or just had some dumb luck and walked away with plenty of money to take care of the rest of the world?  Why is it the job of the rich to hire more people? Why is it not your job to find a need that some people have and make a business out of it and support yourself? I get so sick of hearing that this person has to much or that person spends on stuff they shouldn`t. Don`t know when it became some one elses job in a free country to tell me or anyone else how or when to spend our money that we worked for.

Even if it was the duty of the successful to employ the unsuccessful, I`m not sure how this would be regulated. For example, I look at my business plan for my upcoming cafe, and I have two employees other than myself. I project enough profit after expenses to afford another. Should a company be obligated to hire every employee its profits can afford, regardless of need? I hope not.

but were money going to come from if nobody willing to spend the rich got spend money i have found needs of made some work myself to many people to scared to spend a dime because to scared there going to lose there job if the rich do not spend money the poor do not have money to sp0end there not going to be anything soon

no it not so much the money got be spent that is how the rich hire others when hire people get tax write offs plus how you have a business ever body out there has no jobs to make money i weather see people be hired for doing something then pay them with are tax money to not do anything when there no job the pay out goes into welfare instead not put somebody to work so they can also make you pay less taxes when more people have work the put money out for taxes

The reason corporations send jobs overseas is because federal regulations and payroll taxes are so high in the US that companies can keep their prices lower for their products by making them overseas.

A car would cost much more if it were made here in the US and sold here, using jobs done here in America. Ooops.....! I forgot! That`s why the car companies are begging the government for a handout!!!

The real question, asked above, is "where does money come from?" Too many people think it pours out of the ground, grows on trees, or falls out of the sky. And rich people are just lucky (and greedy), and had money fall on their heads.]

Money is a symbol. Money represents stored effort. Money offers one person a way to trade their work and production for someone else`s work and production with a common exchange system.

That`s true - federal regulations and high payroll taxes being the lead cause of jobs shipping overseas. This would be a nice addition to the "Crying Wolf" thread in marketing. The businesses ship jobs overseas because Americans demand a higher quality of life. It`s the inevitable response to worker`s rights and unionization. If we can`t exploit Americans, we`ll move to Taiwan - they`ll work for peanuts. It`s smart, but it`s not the decision of a "good guy". If there weren`t so many cumbersome laws requiring ethical treatment of workers in the US, I suspect more Americans would be employed. I`m sure Nike would love to hire American six year olds to make its shoes. It`d save a fortune on shipping alone. Rights - a leading contributor to high unemployment.
