Hello all,

I just joined and so far have found this website to be very informative. I am an employee of firm that is into building modern kitchens but interested in having my own business.

I do have a question, though, and would most appreciate feedback.

I am considering going into distribution of Solar lamps in the LDCs (Low Developed Countries), where Electric power seems to be a problem both the Government and Private sector has not been able to tackle. Can anyone help me out with idea(s), on what business policy and strategy to look into?

Thanks in anticipation.

I`m sure others will have more details, but there`s a rapidly growing interest by the US gov`t. in helping small business to develop overseas trade. I can`t remember the steps, but you stand a very high chance of getting some grant money to help you build this plan. Some of that you could use to hire a business planner or strategist who`s familiar with international trade. Again, I`m sure someone will have some factual input on this...but at least do some basic searching on the idea.
