.Hello eveyone. I`m new too. I`m really enjoying this forum. I am in a dilema and hope anyone can help. D.King have really been great giving me resources. I work for the State Government. I have about 10 more years to do. I want to by 5 years of my retirement so I can retire early. It`s costly, but I have cut corners to afford it. I am a single mother of 2 ages 10 and 12. They are very responsible kids. (just have to stay on them a little). I`m 41 years old. I want to go and complete my cosmetology school. and open up a hair salon/nails and massage palor. I also want to combine it with an upscale thrift store but no consignment. I will purchase items from customers/do closetouts/wholesale/clearance to keep stock of items. I find when you consign you are marking the prices up to high for the customers to purchase because you have to pay others. Right now my goal is the learn as much about running a business as I can before retirement. I have a 2-5 year goal plan to learn all the ends and outs. After my goal is complete I will be ready. I looking for land, commercial property all right now. Some stuff I would like to get within my goal plan so I won`t have too much finances overhead later. I have been waiting and wanting this for years. Now is my chance. Any suggestions? Also this business is going to be for my children to enjoy later in life(if they choose).
Thanks.

Hello petbuys and Welcome! Personally my main reason for LLCing was protection. If something ever happened to my business I didn`t want it to effect my personal stuff.

Hi Everyone! We just joined the StartUpNation, and really like what I am seeing in the community between the support and suggestions. We have been listening to the podcasts for sometime, and wow the information on this site is amazing.
My wife and I just opened www.TheLaughingLadybug.com for the chic babies, toddlers and their families. Please take a look around and let us know what you think.
Does anyone have any suggestions on SEO or Pay Per Click advertisements?
Good Luck to Everyone,
Brian
