After 12 years in the field, my company was bought out and then the job went bye bye. My husband has been self employed for about 3 1/2 years now and his businesses have picked up a bit. Due to the fact that we have only one car and won't pay for day care, we've made the decision to have me stay home full time as well.

I have always wanted to run my own show. I'm a hard worker, but have never made a GREAT employee: I have my own opionions and a lot of bosses don't appreciate it. I think they've always felt threatened by it. I'm respectful, but I have an advanced mind and not afraid of asking questions.
