My wife and I have been self-employed for the last seven years. We find that it gives us more time to travel and to spend time with our family (including our grand daughter;).
Currently, we are getting ready to head for the mountains of Colorado for a ski trip at Durango, Mountain. We may even take time to see the cliff dwellings, or maybe even take a quick trip on the Durango to Silverton Narrow Guage Railroad while we are there.
