I have been a freelance writer for many years. I began as a stringer for two newspapers and had articles published in national magazines. I've also drafted employee job descriptions, emergency response protocols and budget proposals. I even drafted a proposal for a regional emergency management program.

I am now expanding further into the writing field. I've started by taking over a weekly column for a local newspaper. I am also developing my own projects and wish to collaborate on projects.

I am expanding further into the field of employee development and training as well. I started by working part time as a training instructor for various companies. I not only taught, but developed course material used in training classes.

I continued in this fashion for fifteen years. During which time I attended numerous instructor training courses.

I am now striking out on my own. First, I am looking for work as a freelance employee trainer and course developer. I’ve already started by developing an adult education series for a local community college.

Second, I want to collaborate with like minded individuals in the employee training field. My primary fields of training are OSHA compliance training, warehousing operations, forklift, new hire orientations, security and emergency response training.

I have a diverse background in these last two areas having worked as a security operations manager, police officer, firefighter and ambulance attendant. I also headed a regional emergency response network. I used the experience gained in these positions to develop highly focused training modules in the areas of security and emergency response training for various employers.
