My dream is to develop a sustainable community-based agroforestry system that can be used as a model in other biological regions and economic climates. My main work has been in the State of Minnesota, but networking has taken me across the world. This model will help heal the environment, produce food and materials for the local community, and create spin-off microenterprise businesses. The model will also be a platform for interactive education and international exchange. It is my dream to help build a series of these models, network them, and share this information with the world.
To properly develop my dream - I needed to create an organization that is capable of managing the network, preforming international community development, and could handle products produced by various community-based systems, or sustainable development projects. This organization is Diversified Botanicals(DB).
DB has become a shared dream as it grew from a project into a new organization. Each person that joined - that became involved - added their dreams and goals into design. A lot of hardwork and research went into the launch of this organization, and since the company is based on networking and cooperative projects more people are welcomed int the group.
