I have created this company from my academic and practical experiences as a learner, researcher and teacher. As a learner, I studied and received two degrees in mechanical engineering, a specialist diploma in school administration and supervision, and a PhD in science education with a specialty in physics education. As a researcher and teacher, I have practical experiences in Reading,ESL, Science and Mathematics (K-12). As a teacher I was also a learner. During my years in the classroom, I learned a great about each student and the unique teaching and learning opportunities that are created which helped me to develop my critical, creative and problem solving abilities that are needed to become and develop as an effective educator.
Through STREaM Academy, a learning center that was developed to provide tutoring, we are implementing practices that we have learned from research regarding the instructional approaches to effectively change teaching and learning. We are answering this call for change because there are hard data that says educational services need to be presented differently to help student's academic progress in the most effective way.
