I have twenty years of experience in marketing including ten as a partner in an agency with thirty people.

I started The Brand Development Company in 2003 to focus on helping start-ups and small businesses identify, understand and leverage market positioning relative to target, competitive set, value proposition, USP, brand message, brand personality and other critical variables.

As a freelance marketing director supported when needed by several designers, I provide a broad range of services at less cost (and without the hassles) of a brick and mortar agency.

In addition to market positioning and communications planning,design of logos and web sites, etc., I do a lot of PR work.

My hobbies are sailing (love to cook under sail), gardening (bamboo and palm trees), beaches (year round), unusual handguns (Uzi) and convertibles (riding at night with the top down).
