Phyllis Avery, President of The Avery Group, is a Certified Diversity Trainer with special emphasis in Women's Issues and a member of the Professional Woman Network (PWN), an international consulting organization specializing in professional and career development.

Mrs. Avery holds a B.S. in Industrial Organizational Psychology from High Point University .
Mrs. Avery serves on the Junior Achievement Advisory Board and as a certified training consultant in Rockingham County, North Carolina. She is a member of the Piedmont Triad Girls Scout Council headquartered in Colfax, North Carolina. Professional affiliations include: member of NAFE (National Association of Female Executives ), Psi Chi and SIOP (Society for Industrial Organizational Psychologist) and the Greensboro Chamber of Commerce.
