I spent nearly nine years living in the southern African countries of Botswana and Zimbabwe. I now live in New York and paint African wildlife full time. Although most people may not consider an artist to be an entrepreneur, that is how I think of myself. The nature of my business, Nicholls Wildlife Art, means that I need to spend most of my time actually creating my product, original watercolor wildlife paintings. This limits the amount of time I can spend marketing so it is very important that the marketing time I have is spent wisely.
