At that time, it was the only national consumer group focused exclusively on consumer credit education and advocacy. As the credit card market exploded in late 1980s, so did the need for information about how consumers could make smart credit choices. I was at the forefront of this burgeoning marketplace. I was helping consumers keep up with those changes, creating information that was distributed to literally hundreds of thousands of consumers nationwide, and responding to ten to twenty or more news media interviews a day, including USA Today, The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Dateline NBC and many others.
