We are in the planning stages of a boarding kennel, self serve dog wash and dog day care facility. We have experience in managing a private kennel and offer in-home boarding at this time. We have fostered and rehomed countless dogs to very deserving forever homes! Basically, we are always considering the best interest of the animal and wish to offer the same care to others' furry family members!
Zoning and land availability have been our two major challenges. Every city has different zoning for the business we wish to/WILL start.
Writing a business plan has been exciting and exasperating! I know I need help in that area.
I have attended many classes and seminars offered by the SBA, listen to Start Up Nation regularly, have read many books (including 'Open for Business') and understand the commitment needed for success.
My husband and I were both in the ever-fluxuating airline industry (he since has found other work - my turn next!).
