I started transferring my own record collection to CD and restoring them a few years ago. After downloading a couple dozen trial versions of restoration software, one was selected. It worked so well that I wondered if there was a market for a business that provided this service. I did a year of research online (don't you love DSL?) and acquired equipment necessary for the task. I started the business as a sole proprietor in June 2003, and now the business provides a substantial supplemental income.
