Our guest this episode is Danny Wong, one of four founders of
Blank Label, an online clothier that allows site visitors to click-to-customize and order dress shirts that are delivered to your door. The Boston-based venture was chosen as this year’s Most Innovative category winner in the 2010 StartupNation Home-Based 100.
Customization, or as we like to call it, DYO (“design your own”), is a huge trend in retail and Blank Label has rolled up its sleeves to be a leading part of it all. That, combined with Blank Label’s disintermediation of the middleman to start their base prices at $45 per shirt, plus their limited inventory demands in their build-to-order system makes for a standout innovator in this year’s competition.
Listen in to get smart about how DYO may apply to your business.
