Episode Spotlight

Learn from Bill Hamilton, founder of Intellicollect, how you can accept credit cards at your website. It’s an important step in addition to using PayPal, to be able to accept a payment with a credit or debit card. Setting up a merchant account to attach to your shopping cart solution at your website will be necessary.

Rich Sloan, chief startupologist at StartupNation, talks to Hamilton about the basic (and we mean, “basic”) steps that are involved in the process. Even if you’re a sole proprietorship, you can get a merchant account and start accepting credit cards.

We strongly recommend this for customer convenience, shopping cart closing (“conversation to purchase”) rates, and for your own cash flow purposes. Remember, when you accept credit cards, you get the money from the customer virtually immediately.

Here’s our easy-to-follow "How-To" series on setting up your site for credit cards.

Here’s the link to Intellicollect and how to get started on your credit card merchant account.
