Hosts Rich Sloan of StartupNation and Troy Janisch of The Business Owner’s Toolkit spend this hour reviewing success strategies in the current, lagging economy.
They’re joined by successful entrepreneur and author, Sam Carpenter, who you may have heard interviewed in recent Tips for Entrepreneurs podcasts. Sam talks about key principles in his book, Work The System, as well as lessons he’s learned as founder of Centratel, a successful call center business.
In particular, learn how Carpenter views the negative impact of the doomsday media. Technically, he argues, we’re not in a recession. But, if you are feeling the pinch these days, he has some solid advice:
- Take advantage of the situation. Use the time to refine your business, create systems to make it run better, and to lay out strategies that will position you for success when things turn around.
- Spend time with your customers. Nothing could be more important than learning the needs of your customers and showing them that their needs are a priority for you and your business.
Based on Carpenter’s experience, and the birth of his success story, Centratel, in a down economy many moons back, we feel he’s well qualified to share his wisdom on this show.
