Episode Spotlight

No discussion of marketing is complete without mention of a dedicated PR effort, and that’s why your hosts discuss press releases out of the gate in this episode.

But the advice goes beyond simple press release strategies and includes how you can position yourself as a “thought leader” online by writing and publishing articles strategically around the internet. If done right, the result should be increased credibility for you and increased traffic to your site.

This episode hosted by StartupNation’s Rich Sloan and guest expert, Nikole Gipps of NHG Consulting.

Hi! I`ve just found this post, so please forgive the delayed reply. I represent Newsforce as the Chief Marketing Officer, and I`ll happily answer any questions about the positioning of the product and the whole "search optimization" thing in regards to PR. Dale, even SEO professionals use some software to help save them time and to doublecheck their assumptions when optimizing a piece of content. I know that I used a combination of as many as 4 software tools and a half-dozen website resources...

I don`t think PR is overlooked ... in fact, some people probably issue too many press releases (and too many low-quality press releases) so PR in general gets watered out. As with anything, it`s important to write with people in mind first, and then search engines.
