Episode Spotlight

The Sloan Brothers have been called to duty! For the second year in a row, you’ll be able to hear them speak at the Microsoft Small Business Summit – this time as keynotes of the Startup day of the Summit. On this show, they shoot the breeze and extol the virtues of entrepreneurship with other speakers also involved in the Small Business Summit. Learn about upcoming events and how you can participate online.

Frederic DeWulf , Web Director of Microsoft’s Small Business division, is the chairman of the event. The summit is designed to help small business owners access technology, learn how to utilize the Microsoft products and find out new information. Frederic’s vision is to bridge the gap between big corporations and the everyday small business owner. The summit facilitates this by engaging both parties in dialogue both in person and online.

Gary Hoover, the founder of hoovers.com and author of Hoover’s Vision: Original Thinking for Business Success , is speaking about using his website as a tool for researching your industry and competition.

Rieva Lesonsky, the Senior Vice President and Editorial Director of Entrepreneur Media Inc., is speaking about the risks of starting up a small business and the risks involved.

Well. It`s less about hesitation and more deciding if I`m still into "sticking it to the man" or should I be more "biting the bullet for a good experience". I`m with you Nikole.  I am weighing my disdain for anything Micrasoft with the knowledge that I may gain from doing it. Linux uber alles!

"Bite the Bullet"..."I don`t need no stinkin` Badges"..."Sticking it to da man"...?  Nikole!  Do you tear-off the labels on your pillows and mattress too? I love it! You are a bonafide RADICAL.  I didn`t think you people existed anymore...be careful...they`re watching your every move. Gotta go! I`m being followed (thanks to you). Done.
