Episode Spotlight

Catherine Harrell of Intuit shares the facts about the future of small business: tips, trends and taking advantage of every opportunity.

Intuit, like any successful company, was interested in how the face of small business is changing. Tracking these trends is important in gauging the audience for specific products. So, they hired an independent research group to gather information about the future of small business and entrepreneurship. What they discovered is that the new face of startups belongs to women, artists, baby boomers, generation-Yers and immigrants.

There are a lot of factors that lead to people wanting to become entrepreneurs. Corporate downsizing is certainly one of them. But for each of these groups of budding small-biz starters there are specific reasons. Listen in as Catherine Harrell explains where the opportunities are and how everyone can take advantage of them.
