As a big advocate of taking vacations in places with limited email/Internet capabilities, I have learned to train my clients about the fact that they will not be able to contact me while I may be on vacation for a month, a few weeks, or just a few days at a time.- J.

Could you create and send an FAQ email out to your customers letting them know you`re going to be gone and answers to most common questions? ...just a thought!

For the one man band, it`s very difficult to not check his e-mail on a regualar basis even on vacation. In my personnal case, I will need to handle customer support by e-mail, even if I should not get many of them, I will need to answer within 24 or 48 hours depending how critical is the problem. I will really need to stay on top of things, outsourcing is not an option right now ...
