About Gayle Harte
Born
in Detroit , MI , Gayle Harte’s genetics revealed a passion for
chocolate. This University of Michigan graduate put her English
teaching aspirations on the shelf for a home-based chocolate business.
Shortly thereafter, Gayle moved her business out of her home and opened
Gayle’s Chocolates in 1984. Since then, Gayle’s second location was
opened in Detroit ’s Metropolitan International Airport .
In
2004, Gayle’s Chocolates celebrates 20 years in business and 25 years
making chocolates. Gayle’s Chocolates’ philosophy is quite simple: Eat
more chocolate. Enjoy the chocolate. Then eat some more chocolate.
