Advice to other startups:
-
First and foremost, make sure you’re going to enjoy the business you’re
thinking of starting up. That way, when times get hard, when things
don’t go the way you hoped, you’re going to have your love and desire
for what you do to persevere.
- Be acclimated to the type
of business you’re going to start—spend as much time becoming familiar
with the way your specific kind of startup operates as possible. Get
hours under your belt at similar kinds of businesses or becoming an
expert about this business—that way the learning curve won’t be so
steep when you open for business.
- Seek out support like
financial resources (banks, friends and family), and from professionals
like accountants. This helps you make key calls about running your
business and keeping the lights on.
