My partner and I are starting a home based business selling appliance parts. Where would we obtain photos of the parts we would sell to put on the website? We contacted the wholesalers we would be buying from but they won't let us come in and take pictures. Other websites selling appliance parts have pictures so there must be a way to do this. Thanks.

So are you not stocking the parts?

If you are stocking them then of course you could take the pics yourself.

If you are only ordering the part when you receive an order, then maybe the manufacturers can supply you with pics.

This route may be a little more tedious since you may be dealing with dozens of manufacturers instead of just one wholesaler, but most all manufacturers will have some sort of spec sheet for their products with illustrations or pics.

Umm.. you could always visit the manufacturers website(or even your competitors) right click on the image that you think would do the job & click 'save image as'.

I'm not sure about copyright, I think an image on the www is pretty much fair game.

If you are only ordering the element when you receive an order, then possibly the manufacturer can deliver you with pics.

I would approach the manufacturer for images. Also if the images require to be only sample images and not of the actual product, you can search for stock photos as well on istockphoto.com or other similar websites.
