Rich Sloan: Mark, welcome to the show.
Mark: Hey, good afternoon, or good evening fellows. And, Titus, thanks for being there. Here's my question. I'm about to start my own business from home. I'm going to roll out a website. How do I get a resource for accepting credit cards online? I don't know anything about it. Where do you look? Who does the transaction? What's it cost me? How do you do it?
Rich Sloan: All right. Great. That is a great question, Mark. And, Titus, that's merchant banking. How does someone set that up?
Titus Blair: The best way to do it is just to go to your local bank, like, I have Washington Mutual, and talk to them, tell them you want a merchant account. And what that allows you to do is process Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express. And they can set you up on that. You know, walk you through it. It's fairly simple.
Rich Sloan: Is it expensive?
Titus Blair: What's that?
Rich Sloan: Is it expensive, Titus?
Titus Blair: No. They shouldn't charge you for it. I mean, they'll charge you, you know, a monthly fee probably but that's about it.
Rich Sloan: Okay. Great. Titus Blair. We've got lots more information from you on our website. Go to the StartupNation.com radio page and you can see Titus' key tips.
