Boomers Are Jumping Into Business In A Big Way And Bizstarters Joins StartupNation To Help Them

CHICAGO, IL, August 13 – The number of new business owners over age 50 has grown by 29% since 2000, and according to the U.S. SBA, now more than 50% of all small businesses are owned by people 50 and over. But according to Chicago-based Boomer business start-up expert Jeff Williams, guiding millions of aspiring 50+ entrepreneurs demands a new, more powerful system of business start-up assistance.

To power up a new Boomer business start-up network, StartupNation, the world’s largest online community of start-ups, has joined with Bizstarters, experts in business start-up for people 50 and beyond, to combine Bizstarters’s growing network of Boomer business start-up coaches with StartupNation’s powerful online entrepreneurial community to provide highly personalized assistance to the growing wave of Boomer business owners.

Tagged as the “Boomers Back In Business” concentration, StartupNation.com has launched a new online forum, articles archive and blog all aimed at informing and guiding the new Boomer entrepreneur. On July 16th, they also launched their “Home-Based 100” contest to identify the 100 most successful home-based businesses in America. Boomer business owners are included as a special applicant category.

“I’m very excited to expand our online community to include a diverse set of resources and coaching for Boomer entrepreneurs,” commented Rich Sloan, CEO of StartupNation.

In addition to serving as the blogmaster for the Boomers Back In Business area at startupnation.com , Williams is also the hub of the expanding Virtual Incubator™ coaching network through which experienced business coaches, small business consultants and former small business owners, all over 5o, are offering step-by-step business start-up assistance to their Boomer peers.
