A lot of people buy from Alibaba.com. They purchase cheap goods from china in bulk and resell it on ebay, but the profit margins are razor thin and there is a ton of work involved.

Either way, you'll need to find a wholesaler and have a few grand on hand.

Agree with the above posts.

  1. Find what market you want to be in.
    1. This should always start with a list of things that excite you or interest you.  You want to be in a business that you find interesting, so start with that list.
    2. Look at the existing demand for the markets that interests you.  Is there enough interest in that market that if you were to succeed, there would be enough demand, or customers, to support you?
  2. Once you have narrowed down your market, only then do you decide the best way to enter that market.  For products dropshipping is a good way to start.  Go to google and type a in your market and the word "dropship" to see who the players are for your market.  Realize that in dropshipping, most of your competitors may be using the same products, so you will need to determine what your competitive advantage is.

Good luck

Rick

Local Classified ads websites could be a fantastic way to purchase and sell online. These web websites are focused at particular places and are perfect for finding buyers in your city. Some classified advertising websites offer their services absolutely free yet others cost a little fee for record your products. It may be simpler to obtain paid promotion if you wish to sell something fast.

I think rather following others, it is better to analyze yourself and determine your field of interest. To make any business successful, it is important to work as per one's interests and likes. Besides this, once you know your field of interest, conduct a research whether its demand exists in the market or not. This is the time where you should listen to your heart as well as brain. Also, you can get an ecommerce store for selling your products and services. It can launch your web presence in a phenomenal way.
