PowerPoint.
When I attend tradeshows, I secure my laptop computer to an area of shelving, about head height. I then run a PowerPoint presentation providing information about Elusive Treasures and featuring some images of the great products we carry online. We never bring everything in our "store" to the tradeshow. There`s just too much. So I find I can display a larger range of product by using a presentation. Also, the isles occasionally become crowded. This allows people to look at our booth without fighting their they through. They get to preview products, learn a bit about us, and make an instant decision as to our worth in their present life... or lifestyle.

Just remember, when doing something like this... Keep the words to a minimum on each page. People won`t stand there reading an article. You only have about 3-4 seconds to grab their attention. A slide stating, "25% off today!" will get a lot more attention than... "If you pick something up at todays event, expect 25% off your purchase! And you don`t have to pay for the shipping... if you take it home today!"

See what I mean?

Some Good PPT tips iouone!  I`ve been using power point for years now for all types of presentations.  From my experience I think the biggest problem with most PPT users is that they make the presentation too "busy".  You can do alot with PPT.  Transitions, animated images, etc.  I`ve been complimented several times on various presentations, and again in my experience...Simple = Effective!

Shatarsky: I have developed my own tactics to manage and accomplish my important tasks. Some use the GTD (Getting things done) methodology.  I use a hybrid of various things that have brought me results.

How do you manage your to do list?

My 2DO list gets managed by multitasking and learning to eliminate what really isn`t necessary.

For example, sort your mail over the recycle bin and don`t bother looking at the mailers except to make sure no important mail got stuck inside.  Sort your errands so that the route makes sense, is one big circle and less time/gas is wasted.  Have specific times for doing specific items on the list (don`t go to the post office during lunch time when it takes longer).
