Hi Regina :-) Welcome to Startup Nation.
I looked at your site and have a couple of initial thoughts. The
extended "splash page" animation that takes place when you click the
link serves no purpose. At least put a "skip intro" option for people
who don`t want to wait through the thing.
Related to that, I then eventually saw the "moments are precious." Yet
your URL name is "Two Extra Hands." So....which is it? You`ll want to
change the Window title to your main page to something understandable, rather
than a link name. :-)
What I`m getting at is that advertising is a sort of shotgun scatter of
all sorts of things. Some are large, some are small, but when they all
work together they begin to form a pattern in the marketplace. Who is
your "target?"
Yes, you have a concierge business. Great. Now who in particular would
you like to tell that to? For instance, would you like to let everyone
know about you in the eighth grade classes around the nation? Probably not. But do you
have an income level for people who`d use your service? What about an
age group? Then there`s the likelihood that you`d want people mostly in
a geographic area.
You might consider the way you highlight information on your home
page. So, for example, you could use a headline something like,
"Bergenfield, NJ now offers a Concierge Service for Busy People!" (Not
great, but an example.)
The problem is to get the message across of what it is you`re going to
provide, in as short a time as possible. Your current content is pretty
good, but it spends a lot of time talking about being busy, being a
mother of kids, and so forth. That`s got me thinking "busy," but it
hasn`t got me thinking "solution to my problems!"
What would you say would be my problem? In other words, what problems
can you list as maybe bullets or topical headings, where your company
would offer a solution in an easy way, inexpensive way, valuable way,
or sophisticated way?
