I would like to lower the amount of money we spend on ads, but still show up high enough in search results that we are just as likely to get clicked on. Should I be using the same keywords for a given product that I have setup in Adwords? Do I also need to look at the page source for our competitors and see what meta keywords and descriptions they're using? As far as I can tell the competitors aren't doing anything else SEO-wise, such as linking to other sites or creating new and relevant content.
