If I make a mistake in classifying my trademark application for goods instead of services or vice versa, the United States Patent and Trademark Office will let me fix that, right?  Probably not.  Hire a lawyer [LegalZoom is not a lawyer] that does trademark law or save your time and money and do nothing.

I don`t think its that big of a deal unless you are seeking government contracts but you can always change your trade classification in the US. You have to get the proper paperworks from the state you registered the business.

In the above case, the applicant was prohibited from reclassifying his goods/services.
