Episode Spotlight

This episode is all about women.

StartupNation co-host and chief Startupologist, Rich Sloan, interviews Delia Passi, creator of a new certification service that familiarizes you with the woman consumer and trains you to serve her better.

Ultimately, upon completing the quick process, you'll be able to include your business in Delia’s "Women Certified" directory and place an emblem at your site, a kind of Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval showing you know how to cater to women consumers.

During the show, Passi explains a number of distinctions about women as customers, not the least of which being that they are responsible for 83% of all purchasing decisions made.

If you want to make sure your business is doing all it should to be woman-friendly, you've got to listen in and learn the tactics and nuances that will win women's hearts and wallets.

I wanted to spark your attention to this important interview, folks. you`re missing the boat if you don`t make a conscious decision to address the special preferences and attitudes of women consumers.   the link to the radio show is above, right under the headline for this forum post.

Listening right now.  Developing a marketing strategy for women is important and there are different approaches to connecting with the female consumer.  But don`t forget men.  In my locale, businesses are predominately owned by women (80+%) and there are numerous events, publications, charitable organizations and more for women.  Well, the men are beginning to feel alienated and have announced the launch of their own publication for our region.

How come we have to market only to men or to women? What about the rest of the people?
