Carl Schramm is the CEO of the Kauffman Foundation and the author of
The Entrepreneurial Imperative, which discusses the role of
entrepreneurship in today’s world. According to Schramm, in order to
thrive as an economic super power in a global marketplace we have to
support startups. Further, we need to encourage innovation, as it is
one of the greatest outputs of the small business and is the
cornerstone of advancement.
The Kauffman Foundation is an
organization dedicated to advocating entrepreneurship. Carl Schramm
shares the story behind the foundation’s creation and the spirit in
which Kauffman’s legacy lives on. It is Kauffman who coined the phrase
