Episode Spotlight
The Judges have Spoken
Phil Camillo of the online
company “pixlit” is the unanimous winner of the November Elevator Pitch
contest. Phil was declared the winner by the Sloan brothers and angel
investor Frank Hennessey and received The Ultimate Hookup – in-person
coaching at the StartupNation headquarters and a meeting with angel
investors.
Phil delivered his first pitch on November 11th
and was voted the winner of his heat by the StartupNation community.
The two other finalists, Jennifer and Lynne, won the popular vote in
their respective groups and then faced off with Phil. The competition
was fierce; each one had a strong pitch with solid elements. It was
Phil, however, who won the unanimous favor of the judges and was
crowned the winner. The Ultimate Hookup includes a trip to
StartupNation headquarters for coaching by the Sloan brothers and Frank
Hennessey, and a meeting with angel investors when Phil feels ready for
showtime!
About Phil
Phil Camillo of Sarasota, Florida
created PixLit.com to fill a relatively untapped market of online
homeschooling resources. PixLit provides videos, games and contests for
kids, while supporting a collaborative community for parents in which
they can communicate with other homeschoolers. Phil looks forward to
his coaching and his meeting with investors. This could be the catalyst
he needs to take PixLit.com to the top homeschooling states in the
country and to grow his online business.
