Episode Spotlight

While the internet is a fast and convenient way to connect in your business, it lacks that personal element that builds strong relationships. Video conferencing could be the solution.  Steve Krasnick checks in with Rich to talk about the equipment you need and shares why this is an inexpensive way to take your business to the next level.

Customers like to put a face to the voice they hear on the phone. Employees feel more confident when the people to whom they are reporting seem close by. With a webcam, a PC, and some software, any personal computer or home office can be equipped with conferencing capabilities. You can hook up the computer you have with a webcam for under $100. Then, there are many software programs that talk the user through the steps. There are even ways to convert your television into a video conferencing system.

Here’s what you need:

  • A PC with video capabilities
  • A high-speed Internet connection
  • A webcam
  • Video software
  • A person to talk to!

To see or not to see? The answer is clear.  Face-to-face relationships are the cornerstone of a successful business and video conferencing brings it into view.
