James Lim, creator of haamoniismooth distilled beverages, was our first elevator pitch contest winner.  He cruised across the country for his in-person coaching and stopped by the studio to talk about his business plan, his elevator pitch and the value of the experience.

A spirited entrepreneur from “the Land of the Pitch” in Silicon Valley, James was inspired to quit his job in the financial industry to pursue his dream of starting his own business.  He gathered together some capital and created Haamoniismooth, an ancient Japanese distilled spirit.  James submitted his elevator pitch for his product on our website and was picked as an entrant in the contest.

When asked how he edged out the competitors, James gave these tips.  First, follow the guidelines on creating an elevator pitch provided by StartupNation. Second, beg your family and friends to vote!  James advocates that the elevator pitch is a useful tool when approaching investors and believes the contest has been a very beneficial and enjoyable experience!
