Episode Spotlight

Staying connected both inside and outside the office is crucial to running an efficient business.  If you don’t have an I.T. staff on board and can’t make an investment in a server system, implementing a shared calendar is a way to manage your resources whether you're in the office or on the road.

When there are multiple people needing to access information constantly, there is room for error.  How can you manage meetings, schedules and events?  A shared calendar is the master organizer to which everyone can refer.  Michael Schultz of Microsoft Office Live (a StartupNation sponsor) encourages business owners to set up a shared calendar to achieve two main goals: Provide web-based mail and manage your resources from anywhere.

There are very few limits in the number of people who can access this info.  All you need is an internet connection and a web browser.  If you’re sitting at the coffee shop or are home sick and want to know what is happening back at the office, get on the shared calendar.  It minimizes the anxiety that comes with being out of touch for too long!
