Episode Spotlight
The decision was unanimous on StartupNation Radio. James Lim is the
winner of the elevator “pitch off” grand prize. Also known in the
StartupNation forum as “haamoniismooth,”
James dazzled the panel of judges with his tight elevator pitch. Jeff
and Rich Sloan and Mal Jozoff – the mystery judge revealed - listened
to the three finalists and chose the business plan they thought was
most aligned with the 10 elements of a successful pitch.
For
two weeks the StartupNation community members have listened to the
pitches of the three finalists and have voted in the forum. MeLissa and
Vince gave James a run for his money with their elevator pitches. MeLissa’s innovative wedding planning business and Vince’s
earth-friendly products captured the attention of many voters. In the
end, however, it was James’s business plan for his premium distilled
spirit that won over the community and the three judges.
James
will be utilizing the grand prize of startup coaching from the Sloan
brothers and Mal Jozoff that will help make his business a success.
Future elevator pitchers will be inspired by his approach!
