Catherine Jaouen Simms, owner of ART A LA CARTE LLC is a French artist based in Stamford, Connecticut. She studied The Arts at l’Ecole Des Cadres in Neuilly-Sur-Seine (Paris), and has been working with interior designers, architects and home owners in Fairfield and WestchesterCounties for many years. She also travels wherever her services are needed.
She specializes in one-of-a-kind plaster finishes, using a wide range of green aggregates for unusual textures, and then washes the walls with warm, Mediterranean colors with spicy and ocean hues glazes (low VOC).
From coconut fiber, crushed coral, grass and mica plasters, hand-painted ones which looks like antique French wallpaper or seeded glass, and her favorite: Molokai RedDirt...Most are also waxed or oiled for that special patina effect...
