It’s this special time in history that we are now experiencing where all of the content that we read, listen to, and watch is now being delivered to us through digital devices.
You see, our home movies aren’t stored in a shoebox any more, they’re now stuck on our digital cameras.
And we don’t buy CDs, albums, or in the case of my friend Pat, 8 track tapes. We download songs from the Internet.
And we don’t write letters anymore either. We send email.
And at work, we chat with our colleagues and coworkers via instant chat.
And for many of us, our rolodex and address books have given way to the PDA.
Get my point? We all have a digital life.
Problem is our digital lives are a mess!
Most of us are so confused about what to do with our digital assets that we do nothing. Have you ever noticed what most people do with their digital pictures?
They huddle around the digital camera and look. For the majority of us, that’s it. The picture is never seen again.
And it’s no wonder. Most of our digital devices don’t allow you to share the content with other devices because they all have different formats.
Try sending a digital video with a picture slideshow through your email account and you’ll see what I mean.
